Biocon Foundation
Biocon Foundation, the CSR arm of the Biocon Group, has been empowering marginalized communities since 2005 through impactful programs in healthcare, education, civic infrastructure, and environmental sustainability. By combining fieldwork with targeted initiatives, the Foundation aims to uplift underserved sections of society.
Recognized for the quality and impact of its interventions, Biocon Foundation frequently partners with government bodies and like-minded organizations to enhance program reach and effectiveness.
At Biocon Biologics, we support the Foundation’s efforts in key areas such as primary healthcare, education, and infrastructure — including Oral Cancer Screening Programs, support for the IISc Medical School and Hospital, and the Biocon-Hebbagodi Metro Station on Bengaluru’s Yellow Line.
Biocon Academy
Biocon Academy, the Biocon Group’s CSR-led Centre of Excellence for Advanced Learning in Biosciences, was established to build a pool of industry-ready talent for India’s biotech sector. It addresses the sector’s skill gap by enhancing the employability of bioscience graduates through hands-on, experiential learning and practical training. The Academy plays a key role in shaping the careers of aspiring biotech professionals and bridging the gap between academia and industry.
To deliver globally benchmarked education, Biocon Academy has partnered with premier institutions such as Keck Graduate Institute (U.S.), BITS Pilani, MS Ramaiah College (Bengaluru), and JSS AHER (Mysuru).
At Biocon Biologics, we further support talent development through biotechnology internships and traineeships, offering real-world industry exposure. We are also exploring a partnership with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) to set up Biocon Academy in Malaysia.
