Corporate Social Responsibility
Our mission to make affordable biologics accessible is inherently social, and we partner with governments and civil society to drive sustainable change.
Biocon Foundation leads our philanthropic efforts in India, supporting disadvantaged and marginalized communities through resilient, need-based solutions. To identify genuine community concerns and develop suitable projects, we conduct comprehensive needs assessments across focus areas—health, education, rural development, women’s empowerment, research, and environment—using data analysis, community surveys, discussions, and stakeholder interviews. Partners are selected via a structured grant process to implement projects effectively. Our investments support healthcare access, innovation, clinical excellence, and green urban mobility.

- Uses a mobile app operated by trained frontline health workers for OPMD (Oral Potentially Malignant Disorders) screening and surveillance.
- Engages government and state-specific NGOs for effective execution.
- Led to the formation of an independent Oral Cancer Task Force (OCTF) to ideate, educate, and engage stakeholders.
- Future goal: Integrate AI-driven analysis of clinical, imaging, cytology, pathology, genomics, and proteomics data into a unique, multidimensional platform.
